Jared Burden
Executive Chef
Chef Jared Burden, born in Chicago Illinois, to a Master Sergeant Father and Principal mother, took the road less traveled. As a young man Jared would visit multiple Airforce bases with his father to see its inner workings. While there he would develop a love of duty, service and excellence in all he would later do. His father would teach him the essentials of the kitchen, to develop a love of cooking, and to build long term sustainable relationships. This would be the foundation Chef Jared would build his life and growing legacy.
Chef Jared attended the Art Institute of Charleston in 2014 after a 10 year Military career serving in the United States Air Force as a C-17 Crew Chief & Maintenance operations Controller. After 2 years of studies, Jared would go on to work in some of Charlestons most established institutions such as The Hotel Bennet, Bourbon & Bubbles & Embassy Suites. Chef Jared Has held positions as Sous Chef, Chef De cuisine, Executive Chef as well as Food & Beverage Director for companies such as Choice Hotels, Hilton & Hotel Bennett.
Jared is a Husband & Father, growing his family with his marriage to Shannon Alston. They have Eight (8) children together and currently reside in Summerville South Carolina. Jared and Shannon welcomed their first grandchild in 2023 and are looking to the continual growth of their family. Jared is a man devoted to his wife, children and his faith.
Chef Jared has been committed to his craft for the past 10 years, building a reputation for consistency, innovation & Trust. Eager to continue his career journey Jared has joined Rivertowne Country Club & Relish Distinctive Catering so that he would once again have an opportunity to prepare classic dishes while creating fresh and new cuisine for our guest pleasure. Jared specializes in Italian, French, Greek, & Mexican cuisine, while concentrating in traditional American and Cajun / Creole cuisine. Chef Jared is enthused to bring his talents to Rivertowne to serve as he did while on tour for his country all those years ago.
Lacy Davidson
Event Coordinator & Catering Sales Manager
Lacy has been involved in the wedding industry for more than 17 years. She began working for a catering company in 1997 that specialized in weddings and corporate events. Soon after, she started a catering company of her own that specialized in private parties. In 1999, Lacy went to work for a large country club (8000 members) in Richmond, VA where she gained even more wedding and large-scale event experience. Lacy joined the Relish team in 2005 to manage event bookings, planning and day-of coordination. She thoroughly enjoys the creative outlet that event coordination presents and especially loves working with brides!
